Our process

How an industrial floor is specified and installed

The specification is set by what runs on the floor. Everything after that is scheduling and workmanship.

  1. Understand the operation

    We ask what runs on the floor, what gets spilled on it and what temperature it sees. The answers decide the system, and guessing at any of them is how the wrong floor gets specified.

  2. Specify the build

    Coating type, thickness and grip level are set against the loading and exposure in each area, so a wash bay and a storage aisle are not treated as the same floor.

  3. Plan the shutdown window

    The install is planned around your production schedule so disruption is kept to a minimum and the areas that must stay live, stay live.

  4. Prepare and repair

    Shot blasting or grinding opens the concrete, and cracks, joints and damaged sections are repaired before any coating goes down.

  5. Apply the high-build system

    Primer and build coats are applied to the specified thickness, with grip additive and zone color worked in as the specification requires.

  6. Return the floor to service

    The floor cures to the schedule we gave you and goes back to work. Cure depends on the system and the conditions in the building, and we confirm both before the job starts.
