About this product
- Engineered for Type 1L & ASTM C595 Cement Mixes – PROSOCO® Consolideck® BD1 is a high-performance blend of silicates specifically formulated and tested to deliver superior performance on Type 1L cement mixes and other ASTM C595 blended hydraulic cements — the right densifier for today's increasingly common low-carbon cements that traditional silicate products don't fully treat.
- Ideal for Steel-Troweled & Burnished Floors – Specifically designed for use on steel-troweled or burnished concrete floors — penetrates and reacts with even the tightest steel-troweled finishes where conventional densifiers struggle to absorb, delivering deep densification on hard-to-treat slabs.
- Works on Green & Existing Concrete of Any Age – Appropriate for freshly troweled "green" concrete or existing floors of any age — gives polishing contractors and concrete finishers a single densifier they can use across new construction, restoration, and retrofit jobs without switching products by substrate condition.
- Improves Performance, Appearance & Light Reflectance – Improves the performance, appearance, and light reflectance of new or old concrete — renders concrete floors dustproof, won't contribute to surface crazing, combats surface ASR (Alkali Silica Reaction), and the resulting gloss and hardness do not reduce slip resistance.
- Reduces Burnishing & Polishing Time/Costs – Reduces application time and costs of burnishing and diamond polishing operations — generous coverage rate of 300–800 sq. ft. per gallon on freshly placed concrete and 300–700 sq. ft. per gallon on ground/honed/polished concrete keeps material and labor costs in check on large projects.
